			About Our Products Our toys are open-ended and allow children to use their creativity and imagination while playing. They make connections to the child’s world and invite them to do what comes naturally—to be curious, to imagine, and to make sense of the world around them. We believe that our toys next to being safe, durable, fun and attractive also encourage children self-discovery and imagination. Our toys don’t talk, count, dance or light up, therefore they don’t require a child to be an inactive observer, who just watches how the toys work. Instead they actively involve the child in play, allow the child to play, to direct, to interact. Many of our toys are unstructured and can be used for lots of different purposes. The stacking bowl, can be used to build a tower, or as a container for storing tresures. All of our puzzles can also be building blocks. Since most of our cars, trucks and trains are natural colors they can be fire trucks, ambulance,s race cars, or police cars. These toys require children to use their imagination, to complete the toy or to find their different purposes, they are flexible and grow with the child. There is something inherently interesting in toys. Children will manipulate the toy and experiment to find out what it can do. You will notice that your children will return to these wooden toys time and time again, manipulating them, exploring, questioning, and investigating them. About Natural Materials Our products are beautifully made of the highest quality natural materials; wood, wool, cotton, and silk. They are made out of the living thing. Wood is natural and regenerative. It stimulates the senses. It has texture it is sometimes light, sometimes dark, it is hard or it is soft. It is rough or smooth and smells good. It sounds different, it is heavy or it is light. It has its own temperature. Bacteria cannot reproduce on wood. Wood is durable. Wooden toys are made to last. When wooden toys break they can be fixed. Each wooden toy is different; it has its own unique structure and texture. There in no two pieces of wood that is exactly the same. Wood is non-toxic, therefore safe for your child’s health. The colors used are water-based and the finish is natural oil blends. And lastly, wood is recyclable. Natural fibers also come from a living thing, be it a sheep, vegetable or worm. They feel good when we touch it, they breathe with our body when we wear it. I can’t imagine living without natural fibers be it for fluffy pillow, favorite linen pants, a doll or doll’s dresses and blankets. About Us Natural Kids is a family-owned and -run small company. We work from our home. We strive to offer a selection of natural, gentle, and simple wooden toys. We sell only toys that we truly believe in and either have or would have in our own home. We believe the items we sell are worth the prices we ask for them. High quality wooden toys tend to be more expensive when compared to toys found in mainstream toy stores but they are not just a toy they are also a pieces of handcrafted art. On the other hand you save on batteries. None of the toys on this website are battery-operated. They run on kid’s powerful imagination alone. We are inspired by waldorf education and sell many waldorf toys. They encourage natural, imaginative play and interaction with nature and the surrounding world. This company is more than a business for us. We try to live a natural, simple life. We want to make the products that we love available to other people as well.
